[DM-MUG] Mac that won't 'start up'?

I've had that happen to mine. Finally, having tried everything else I  
could think of, I took the battery out while all the cords were  
disconnected, then put it back & hooked up the cords & it worked. the  
only thing I could think of was that it wouldn't power down  
completely as long as the battery was still in.
