I agree with Jon and the person who lives in Chicago. I live in AZ now. And even when I lived in the Des Moines Area, my work schedule didn't allow me to attend on Tuesdays. I don't necessarily desire to pay membership dues, but I understand it requires money to keep the website going. the graphic design association I belong to, some chapters require members to RVSP in order to attend. The fee is higher for people that show up but who have not RSVPed, depending on the event some dues are required or not required. Is there a donation container in plain sight at these meetings?
Not to be a stick in the mud, but since I previously wasn't able to attend meetings and due to distance I still can't attend, I don't feel I ought to pay a yearly due to stay on an email list... I still very much enjoy receiving messages on the email list.
I still haven't heard of where to send the contribution for the website and GoDaddy stuff.
