Thanks = I found the number - no RAID setup. In Bay 2 was a drive
that I needed to take out = so I got a new drive [Hitachi 1TB SATA
etc] and using my WiebeTech enclosure and Disk Utility Initialized it
and set it up as usual. I had copied over data off old Bay2 to the
new one and checked and data was fine on it - Then took out old Bay2
and put in new Bay 2 and restarted computer - on restart the
computer would not recognize the new Bay2 -- I told it to Ignore =
but what now? Why doesn't my MacPro recognized the newBay2 which was
created with DiskUtility, fresh and ready to go and the data was fine
when it was in the WiebeTech.?
Before I just initialize and start over are there any other ideas ==
other than this drive that won't mount or be recognized the computer
works just fine.
