The bays are labeled but the paint color is very close to the color of  
the bay pull out.  The numbers are only for reference and don't change  
the functionality of the bays at all.

The bays are numbered left to right 1 through 4.  It really shouldn't  
matter which bays you use for what unless you have RAID set-up.
