Russ,
Since the virus definitions are Mac only ti is very limited if not
useless. Most of us who have an anti-virus program installed have it
so that we will not pass on Windows virus to other people. So my
choices:
Intego Virus Barrier. Very good, runs in the background and does its
job. Virus definitions generally updated every month but more
frequently if needed. About $80.
ClamXav -- a free source program and the command line version is
Clamav. ClamXav provides a GUI front end. One part of it watches
downloads. You can schedule a scan when it will not bother you but you
will not notice it anyway. You can also schedule downloads of virus
definitions daily.
This is free ware although he would like a donation if you want to
make one through PayPal. I am running this and like it.
