[DM-MUG] Is there a way to find the REAL date of a CD's creation

Music [AIFF] files on CD I popped into my computer == for some wierd 
reason the creation date is "today at 7:51" but I know it was created 
before today....is there some deep secret place that records the 
creation date of the CD that is 'real'???  How would I find it?
