First, some won't work on the iPod Touch, so you need to doublecheck. 
I'm not certain it's all that many, but just FYI.

Second, to find info out about apps, a good site is = 
http://www.148apps.com/ -- I follow it on Twitter and, really, it's 
pretty busy but it's a good place to start.

Also, you can RSS feed some other sites with iPhone details:  iPhone 
Lounge, iPhone Atlas, etc.  Google and I'm sure you'll find more.
