[DM-MUG] Q ref firewall communication port 3689: Apple TV not syncing with iTunes

in SnowLeopard you start with FW off and it is presently off...when I 
was techshooting earlier we tried it to allow all connecitons and 
also specifically iTunes and nothing changed.,  Right now I'm on hold 
with Apple...still techshooting it...there is a long thread at the 
Discussions forum area ref. the 3689 issue....I hope internal Apple 
folks can come upwith answer but I'll multitask and if there are 
otehr suggestions just let me know.
