[DM-MUG] Converting .mov file to .wmv or .avi ~ What do I need??

Mauri,

Let me sum up what I said.  Please keep in mind that I don't know if  
windows has a free way to do this.

1) Upgrade your quicktime to QT Pro by choosing the 'Buy' option  
under the 'Quicktime Player" Menu. (Cost $29.99)

Stop here to make an AVI FIle. or continue to step 2 for .wmv
      -Open your .mov movie in quicktime and choose Export under the  
'File' Menu.
      -Select 'Export to AVI' from the Export box on the screen.
      -Give the file a name and choose folder you want it saved in.
      -Click on Save
      -That's it

To export as a .wmv file using Flip4Mac (Cost $49)

2) Purchase WMV Studio from www.FLip4Mac.com and follow the screen  
prompts to install.
      -Open your .mov movie in quicktime and choose Export under the  
'File' Menu.
      -Select 'Export to Windows Media from the Export box on the  
screen.
      -Give the file a name and choose folder you want it saved in.
      -Click on Save
      -That's it
