127 GB is the max your ibook will recognize and format. You can purchase one larger, like a $160 GB as CW stated. However, the "partition/format disk" part of the operating system will only read 127GB, so the remainder will be wasted. It's a limitation of the hardware, not the operating system.
It's like... trying to get your 16 ounce coffee cup to hold more. You can keep pouring, but it's not going to hold more than what's been predetermined. Some people only fill it halfway... but it still can't hold more than 16 oz. Hope that makes sense?
