[DM-MUG] O'Reilly

Many of the O'Reilly books tend to lean toward the open-source
community, and while Mac OS X has brought many open-source folks to the
borders of the Mac world, I think there's a good possibility that the
average home Mac user may not have had the opportunity to discover this
book series. Mac users who do any sort of web work will more than
likely have found the O'Reilly series to be profoundly helpful, though.

I've had the pleasure of owning the Programming Perl and the DNS and
BIND O'Reilly books for some time, now, and I must say that they have
both served me quite well. Digging through online tutorials to try to
solve a programming task or to look up how you accomplish something in
BIND has always been maddening, and the O'Reilly books have made
anything I've ever needed to know available at my fingertips.

Sadly, politics has gotten so out of hand lately that people are ready
to jump at anything that has any conceived connection. It is just
another example of tv media hounding the public with their agendas,
turning us against one another for stuff that in the long run is too
confusing to work or matter. If only one could change a network's
business plan with a swift fist to the mouth once in a while. Sadly,
even the linux users group list is currently being raided by this
political crap.
