[DM-MUG] Point of Sale and Business Accounting Application?

Quickbooks is the one most used on the PC side. Though the whole kit and caboodle generally costs $900+ 
If your business grows and/or you contract out to a CPA (? that the correct term?) or accountant, your account will use one of three software programs aside from Excel: 

Quickbooks
Peachtree
Quicken

Most of these programs are for use with PCs, but they offer something for Mac platform too. I'd make sure whatever arrangement you have is compatible with both and also able to be opened/accessed by accounting-type people who use PCs.

Apple uses Point of Sale technologies themselves at the stores, so they should be able to better direct you. here's the apple link for get general info.
