[DM-MUG] The Seagate firmware issue

I have a few drives that may or may not have that issue and need to 
deal with them [they're backups and haven't been used since] - I want 
to make sure I understand what I can or should do to 'fix' those 
drives so they may not become useless bricks = or should I just take 
all the data off them and trash them???
