[DM-MUG] any use for old computers?

I have two old Macs that I need to depart with soon. Just wondering if
there is any possible use for these nowadays, apart from being museum
pieces or the always dependable doorstop. If anyone wants them, they're
welcome to come pick them up...gratis, of course. South side location.

They're a Mac IIsi (running System 7.1, I think) and a Power Mac
8600/300 (running OS 8.6). There's a color monitor for each as well as
some peripherals, namely an external hard drive (don't remember the
capacity) and a magneto/optical disk drive (disks included) as well as
some old modems (14.4 & 56). Whatever software I still have for any of
them is available, too, as well as manuals & books.

These are old machines that use the now-obsolete SCSI and ADB
connectors. They have not been powered up for at least two years,
probably longer. I'm guessing they still work and, of course, I'll
double-check if anyone is interested in them.

If there's no interest in them, I would welcome any suggestions as to
where & how to recycle or safely dispose of them.

Many thanks!
Jeff
