[DM-MUG] Q ref Apple TV

It probably has a lot to do with screen size, the content you view, =20
and the settings of each device. If you're seeing SD content on a 40" =20=

or larger screen, or if your screen hasn't been set up calibrated =20
properly, quality issues would be more pronounced. Podcasts are =20
designed to be distributed over the 'net to small devices and are =20
often barely watchable on anything larger than an iPod Touch.

I used an =F0Tv for 2 weeks about a year ago on my 34" calibrated =20
widescreen CRT TV. An iTunes rented movie looked as good as DVD =20
(honestly, slightly better than some DVD's I've seen with poorly =20
encoded kids content). But my TV is not a fixed-pixel display, it =20
switches to match the output and it looks really great. There was no =20
"HD" content at the time to compare to, but the SD resolution was =20
quite good. Still, I returned it and opted for an EyeTV for use as a =20=

DVR for OTA content.

The =F0TV's "HD" movies, like many services right now are not true HD =20=

and don't even come close to Blue-ray. They'll be a good step up from =20=

SD or ED, and in some cases look really good. Here's an awesome =20
comparison article: <http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/=20
