[DM-MUG] very cheap laptop options

I have an iBook 600, which has had a few logic boards courtesy of AppleCare.
There are not too many issues with these machines once you know where the
issue is on the logic board, so here's a tip: don't pick up the laptop with
your left hand only.
Another tip is be careful about opening and closing the top when the weather
is unusually cold.

Otherwise I don't see a reason (besides the obvious one of age/battery life)
why this wouldn't work well as a basic machine on the road. Just make sure
the machine is shut down and put in a padded bag when you are traveling.

I use a JANDD "Computer Adapter Pack" inside one of their bags with a
built-in bicycle rack mount. Although the adapter pack is designed for their
bags, it is just larger than the iBook/MacBook and has hooks on the ends,
making it a pretty versatile solution. My pack has worked well with regular
use since the late 90s.
