[DM-MUG] buzzing/humming of CD Player in iMacG5 as it installs off CD

I have iMacG5 running OSXLeopard and all is fine other than I am now 
installing a program and the sound of the CDplayer as I do so is 
incredibly loud and buzzing....we have no other problems with the 
machine and now that it has stopped installing it is quiet....I am 
covered by Applecare still...is this a problem which can be fairly 
easily solved?  Any thoughts [not that I can't take it in somewhere 
but would like to avoid doing so]
