Well, I've tended to use iTunes music store for low-risk musical
experimentation. There are a number of times I've tried something new and
then gone out and bought the whole album.
Try this -
A masterful twist on some of our favourite classics
Cuban Dance (Brahms, Hungarian Dance) by Klazz Brothers and Cuba
Percussion or
Mambozart (Mozart, Symphony No. 40) by Klazz Brothers and Cuba
Percussion
A high-energy metal-ish, industrial track that defies classification
Switchback by Celldweller
Just two examples where I bought one track then bought the whole album.
Then there's those stupid albums that have only one track that anyone wants
and Apple or the label refuses to sell only the track you want, you have to
buy the whole album (what's that song from the movie Madagascar? "We like to
move it move it...").
For the record, I'm boycotting Apple's iTunes and the iTunes store because
of Apple's anti-competitive monopoly like sales tactics. They're no
different than MS and only open up when their hand is forced. I buy my music
at the used CD store on Merle Hay Rd a block south of Douglas (can't
remember the name).
