We met tonite and these notes are a brief taste of what we shared.
The next meeting will be at the usual time and place in late March-
go to our website, http://www.dmmug.org.

Topics tonight:
1. Switcher resources [will be posted to web]
2. Versiontracker.com and Macupdate.com as sites to find free and
shareware by topic or keyword and updates as well.
3. We talked about various programs for working with images in a
variety of ways: iPhoto, iWeb, Aperture, Lightroom. This might be a
good topic to revisit?
4. Security: go to the website because there is a detailed
explanation of security for your Mac. It's under the News link.
5. A discussion and demonstration of iChat audio and video [we even
talked and saw Alan Hansen, now with Apple and formerly our host at
Haddock]. And a brief mention of Skype [Skype.com].
6. Sources for security against theft for your laptop, besides
putting it in a safe deposit vault: Lojackforlaptops.com and
Undercover by orbicule.com are two sites of interest
7. Discussion of SuperDuper and TimeMachine.
8. There are fewer magazines that are Mac-oriented here in the US =
Macworld and Mac|Life; others from Britain are iCreate and
MacFormat, which are carried at Borders and maybe elsewhere.

Upcoming Programs:  Leopard Tips and Tricks [such as QuickLook];
Repurposing your Macs for April [how to deal with your too-old Macs].
