sorry for this, but

the nuns at the private elementary school i attended once answered a  
question about how water becomes electricity in hydroelectric power by  
saying that it was a mystery of god.

perhaps it's time to bring theology into the printer issue.  ;  )

Powered off, on several times = same with TC and all computers;  new  
cable from computer to TC;  Lexmark guy had me even go back to factory  
default and reset NVRAM in the printer and then enter manual IP  
address....still no go
