I have a Blackberry and have tried countless times to get it to sync
properly with my Mac (10.4 and 10.5) and always had problems with it. The
calendar often gets duplicate entries and my contacts never seem to update
properly (seems to be a problem mapping fields between the address books).
RIM's Mac support has been outsourced to the PocketMac folks and they just
don't seem to get it.

There is another syncing tool called Missing Sync that some people have said
is better, but I have yet to try it myself.

I haven't tried an iPhone yet, but every I know that has one loves it.

Anyway, just thought I would throw in my experiences with the Blackberry on
the Mac.

For what it's worth, I plan on waiting to see if HTC actually comes out with
an Android based phone by year end like they said they would. For those
that don't know, Android is the mobile phone OS that Google has written and
it looks very promising (see http://code.google.com/android).
