Hi! You're not too old. You're just missing a few pieces of info. :)
Windows XP and Parallel:
What was the antivirus software? Was it the one by Microsoft, or the
free AVG, or free avast!, McAffee or Norton? Will the virtualization
environment not start up at all any more, nor will it load from a
previous saved state?
For the iPod and "Recently Added" smart playlist:
1-Launch iTunes
2-hold down the option key, and click the "+" button that will change
into a gear picture when you hold down option, and that's below the
playlist/library nav panel on the left of the iTunes window
3-Make sure "Match the following rule:" is checked. It will be by
default.
4-Instead of where it says "Artist" on the first drop down box on the
left, choose "Date Added"
5-Next combo box, choose "is in the last"
6-Text field to the right of "is in the last", type in "2"
7-Combo box to the right of "2", choose "weeks".
8-Click OK
And it's back.
If you like keeping track of added dates, you can also add the "Date
Added" column to your library or playlist listing.
1-Click on "Music" under the Library group in the left panel of iTunes
2-Right click on any of the menus on top of the columns, such as
Name, or Time, or Artist etc. When the popup selection menu opens up,
click on 'Date Added'
3-Drag the 'Date Added' column left or right to have it where you
want to see it.
Then you can click on that column header to sort forwards or
backwards in time.
Hope this helps!
