That's what I have now. I've tried several others. Don't like any
of 'em. Even the incase one.

That's why I don't like 'em. That or the cases are just plain ugly
or badly designed or both.

Thank heavens for Visual Voice Mail! ;-) Or a bluetooth headset.

I'm jealous.

OUCH! That's worse, far worse, than the last Apple iPod case I
bought. It's too much. Even for leather.

I was too, but for the iPhone it'd be a lousy design.

Not I. That's too much for a case. One-third that is too much.

And that's hard to do. We need a flip cover like the old Palm III's
had. Sorta made your PDA look like the old original-series Star Trek
communicators....I've had something like that on most of my PDAs.
All of my cell phones until now have been Motorola flip-phones
(MicroTAC, StarTAC, RAZR). It's a great design and protects the
screen pretty well.

And even that's not perfect for the iPhone. Suppose you drop it with
the flip up protector open. <insert tinkle of breaking glass here>
No, the proper solution is for Apple to use a high quality plastic
screen not a glass one.

I know what you mean. They sell those for Palms and PocketPC's too.
They're the biggest scam around. Fiendishly difficult if not
impossible to apply and they can actually cause damage on plastic pda
screens if you apply them wrong and get dust/grit under them. I was
able to mostly get one applied, but the reduce the image quality and
degrade over time so you have to replace them and buy more!
