I also agree -- it's rather unfair to blame Apple for setting 
parameters on its support of hardware or software tinkered with by 
people contrary to the design -- rather like suing a lawyer for 
malpractice because he/she wrote a contract that was perfectly fine 
but you then decided to change it without consulting the lawyer 
further and then blamed the lawyer for the effect of the changes 
made.  People have to assume the risk of the adverse effects of 
things they do by their own choice, personal responsibility.
