[DM-MUG] imovie suddenly "buggy" - suggestions?

Try the following, in order. See if any of these steps change iMovie's
behavior before going forward:

Repair permissions
Run Disk Warrior (*not* Norton Utilities)
Trash iMovie icon and reinstall from iLife DVD
Run all possible software updates
