[DM-MUG] Alternative meeting site ideas for social type of gathering this Spring

I'm mulling over a social/Switcher-focused gathering some evening
from 4p - 7p in April, early May that could be held anywhere fairly
centrally located, with free wi-fi and a free room use, if possible.
We'd probably ask everyone to BYO, if possible [or ask members to
contribute Bs so those newbie Mac folks are true guests]. I have
found a few possible sites: Pappajohn Ed. Center and DMACC, Cub Club
[not sure it's free] and maybe people here know of others. I've
talked it over with CW at Haddock and my thought is to provide
Haddock, CompUSA, AppleStore to come and answer Q and share whatever
they can [if they want, it'd be up to them] and I'd like to get
started planning this so we can get some good publicity out.

What I'd like from this group is: a volunteer or two to work with me
in getting this organized, ideas other than the above for meeting
places which fit the bill, ideas and suggestions for topics,
presenters and anything else, and help with getting the word out
about the event once it's set.

You can email the list or me directly or you can IM me:

Much thanks. Victoria
