Matt, that is very good info.  I think it will also mandate more APC 
backup power - there's alot of draw as it is right now....but I need 
to be able to expand at least with FW800 - not ready for eSATA yet, 
probably

I assume the fact that the 3G thruput is there in eSATA doesn't run 
up against the bus limit of a computer?  BEcause the bus on some Macs 
is pretty 'slow' relatively and I thought that was a limit on what 
you could do.
