Archive and Install is an option you can use when installing the OS from
DVD/CD. Consider it a "Clean Install" from the old days. When you run the
Mac OS X installer when booted off the DVD, click on Options I believe when
selecting the HD to install it on. I haven't done it in so long as I image
every thing now...
