[DM-MUG] Need Sioux City based answer if possible

I'd be happy to help -- not exactly Sioux City centered, but my
sister in law is about to move to Brookings, SD -- I'll be going
through/past Sioux City probably once a month or so.

Which Strawberry iMac does he have -- tray-loading or slot-loading?
If it's tray-loading, it won't take an AirPort card. What operating
system is he running on this machine? How much RAM does he have? Whom
is he considering for high-speed internet -- Qwest, MediaCom, Cox, or
some other (possibly locally based) cable or DSL company?

Whichever model iMac he has, it's got an Ethernet port, so an AirPort
base station is probably not necessary unless he's got two or more
computers to connect to the ISP. If he's using Qwest, their DSL
modems double as routers, so again the base station would not be
necessary.

Either Jean or her grandson can call me at the store during business
hours (515-225-9040) or on my mobile phone any time (515-577-1716).
Anything I can do, I'll be happy to help.

Peace,
CW
