[DM-MUG] Looking forward to the January meeting

The scheduled presentation is Victoria Herring, on Aperture and Macs
in Pro/Am photography.
I believe we'll probably also want to chat about the Macworld keynote
a bit, though not much "Mac" news (which is itself news).

Major business item:

NOMINATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!
We will be electing the board (officers) at next months meeting.
Tomorrow will be your chance to nominate new officers.
There's been a fair amount of discontent with the way things have
been, now is the time to step up and help decide the future course of
the group! Nominate who you think will run things well, nominate
yourself if you feel like you can help make a difference.

I've enjoyed my time serving on the board at DMMUG for many years
now, but I know that my commitments are outpacing my capacity at this
point, and I will not serve another term, so at this point do not
expect to nominate me at this point. It's been an honor and a
privilege to be involved as I have, for as long as I have, but it's
time for a change. I look forward to seeing what some fresh blood can
do to re-invigorate the group and will stay involved as much as I
can, but as a member, so please folks, nominations - either here on
the list or at the meeting Tuesday night.

The board consists of these offices:

President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Sgt @ Arms

The website has more detail in the bylaws section.
Please consider stepping up to the plate folks!

I believe Victoria has volunteered to be nominated for something (I
believe she said "not VP").
