[DM-MUG] iMac G5 won't mount LaCie 500G external HD

I've read about this. Apparently, the light on the drive is coming  
from the FW bus power. Try connecting it *without* the power  
connected at all. It might light up, but should not actually work.  
Some drive vendors indicate incorrect power with a different color  
LED. OWC Elite cases come to mind.
