[DM-MUG] USB printer

Hi,

I have a problem and a possible reason for it which I would like to 
have someone tell me I am wrong. I tried to print to my wife"s 
printer connected to her iBook and it would not print. I tried a 
couple of things and couldn't make it work until I switched USB ports 
with her Kensington Turbo Mouse. Now the printer would work but not 
the mouse. That seems to mean that the printer and cable are fine but 
not the port. I would have a hard time paying to replace the 
port(logic board?) if is is dead. a work around would be a USB hub. 
Is my analysis right?
