Before I even think about repairs, I need to take that computer on the road with me and this makes me feel better about doing so.

I'll keep my eye out for the Intel version of Disk Warrior... that app seems to be universally loved.

The two tools that I use for Preventive Maintenance

are not yet available for Intel based Mac's.  Both should have Intel  
versions soon.

I have seen the Volume header messages on several versions of OS X  
and even years ago on OS 9 machines while running Disk Warrior.  I  
have yet to have any problems related to these warnings.

According to this article, you don't need to worry about it.
