Other recommended converter options:
Dazzle.com (owned by Pinncle Systems)
Canopus <http://www.canopus.com/products/videoconversion.php>
Miglia <http://www.miglia.com/products/video/tvminihd/index.html>
EyeTV <http://www.elgato.com/>
I personally use an EyeTV 200 which has an SDTV (analog) tuner built-
in as well. It offers some chroma and luminance control prior to the
capture and the software is pretty good (recently upgraded). I've
heard good things about the Canopus and the Miglia from pros.
A converter also enables digitization of other analog sources, e.g.
VCR, broadcast TV, other analog cameras.
Avoid USB converters unless you have a fast Mac with USB 2. FireWire
is the best choice.
