[DM-MUG] What is going on - apple.com gives me wierd message

Hi Vicki,

Your DNS is pointing some addresses back to your own Mac's localhost  
file. What happens if you just type "apple.com" or "apple" in the  
location field? Same thing? Mediacom (you're still on MC, right?)  
might be messing with their services. Didja try going wired vs.  
wireless? Happen on all your machines, or just one?

You could try manually entering your ISP's (or another's) DNS address 
(es) into your networking config (System Preferences/Network/<Your  
Configuration>TCP/IP Tab/). Each ISP has a different set of DNS  
addresses. They aren't mutually exclusive, i.e. you can put other DNS  
numbers in there if you want. It might fix itself with time.
