[DM-MUG] Upgrade for G4-500

Hello All
Using system 9 I used a Powerlogix G3 upgrade in my old 8500. It  
worked really well, One of my current computers a G4 500 has quite a  
bit of ram and I know that I cant get my company to pay for a new G5  
yet. Does anyone have any experience with any of the G4 upgrade cards  
and OS X? I was also wondering if anyone knew of any resources for  
getting  DP G4-1000 chips? Thanks Chris
