[DM-MUG] Upgrading from Photoshop Elements 3 to PS CS2 or something like that?

What is the best upgrade path?  I have PSE3 and am thinking of 
getting PS in some more full featured type of program but not sure 
how best to do that = the guy at Adobe told me it would be $500 to do 
a 'competitive upgrade' to CS2 from PSE3, but that can't be right.

Any ideas?  PS CS2 upgrade pricing at Amazon is $160 - but I can't 
tell if it's upgrade from PSE3 or from PS itself...
