Sending email and uploading digital pictures are the main two that benefit 
from a fast upload.

There is also some correlation between upload and download speed, if you 
have a large asymmetry your downloads may not run at full speed because 
you aren't able to send acknowledgements to the server as fast as they can 
send to you. It's mostly academic, though.
