my Retrospect backup went haywire and I had to erase the FW harddrive
== I can now make a decision ref. either using it again or else
moving to another == I need to be able to backup over network [e.g.,
have the backing up computer, an iMac, mount the other, a Cube, and
back up both to an external FW harddrive by LaCie, which is how
Retrospect used to do it = quite well til it went nuts on me.
So, I have Silverkeeper [free, scheduled backups but no network auto
mounting that i know of], MimMac and SuperDuper [for which I have
licenses but neither will do network automounting although they do
make clones]...
any suggestions for good and not overly expensive software = or
correction to my assumption that three I can now use don't work the
way I think they do???
