[DM-MUG] ownership + permissions

Hello All
I know that someone had asked about this last year but, I can not 
remember how to fix it. I has some problems with my hard drive and has 
to reinstall everything from back ups and it seemed OK. I then upgraded 
to 10.4 and now I keep getting authorization problems. I couldn't 
change anything on the desk top because it said that I wasn't 
authorized. I tried to change the ownership settings but it kept 
reverting to system. I fixed my permissions before I did the upgrade. I 
thought that there was something that you typed in to the terminal to 
fix this. Any ideas? Thanks C
