You got the part number right, but your links mention nothing of the  
"clamshell" model battery (the long one, not the square-ish battery).  
I, too have looked for methods of resurrecting clamshell batteries with  
no success and have two "new" ones that will not charge. If anyone's  
got info on these batteries (or wants two to experiment with) let me  
know and you may have them.

Honestly, if the battery isn't new with a warranty, I don't get that  
worked up. Newer has longer lasting batteries comparably priced to a  
new Apple battery.
