I've had an iBook G4 for nearly a year now and couldn't be happier. At 
the time, I was leaning toward a PowerBook but didn't want to spend the 
extra $$. Now that I've had it a while, I can say that I don't think 
I'm missing anything. Sure, faster is always better, but then fast 
enough is unattainable (especially where GCC is concerned ;) And like 
any computer, it spends most of its time spinning its gears waiting on 
the human at the helm, not the other way around.
