A Mac mini only has DVI output and the older Cinema Display (that came
with a Cube) only has ADC input. Therefore, a $100 DVI-to-ADC adapter
would be required (to provide power to the ADC display), meaning that a
Mac mini will cost a little more than originally thought.

A refurbished Power Mac G5 or even G4 is probably a better choice if
the original Cinema Display is to be retained.

I have a 22" Cinema Display (purchased August 2000 for $4,000) and am
worried that someday I will not be able to use it with anything new.
Fortunately, it has worked beautifully with the Dual 500MHz G4 with
which it was purchased, then a Dual 800MHz G4 in August 2001 and
finally a Dual 2GHz G5 in July 2003.
