[DM-MUG] Laptop consideration questions

Good Morning,

Because my wife and I do have the opportunity now to take more days 
away from home I'm considering a laptop to download our digital pic's,  
pick up emails and keep up with some of the discussion boards I enjoy.  
It seems as though most motels/hotels now offer wireless connections in 
room and I think I'd like to take advantage of that option.  I know 
also that most motels/hotels offer the obligatory inferior computers in 
the lobby which I really find annoying.

Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated, thanks. My home computer 
is an iMac G4 with the ability to record and burn both DVD's and CD's 
with OS 10.3.
