[DM-MUG] Macintosh creator Jef Raskin dies at 61

On that page, is the text:

"Jef was the creator and leader of the Mac project at Apple until their  dilution of his original ideas of a 'low-cost ($500 US) computer for everyone'"

It gives me chills to notice that Jef passed away not long after the introduction of the Mac mini, a $500 computer for everyone, even Windows users.

The last 7 years have been a big cycle of Apple bringing their past into the present, repackaged. Has anyone noticed these:

iMac = all in one Mac from 1984
OS X = NeXT OS
Cube = NeXT cube
Pages = Desktop Publishing throwback (Apple was/is king in this)
.Mac = eWorld (their BBS thing...is that what it was called?)
Mac mini = sort of Jef's idea, or at least Apple II'ish
