[DM-MUG] Apple moving to Intel - confirmed by Jobs at WWDC

Two items:

One is that the software will only run on Apple manufactured
computers not on your Dell.

Two is that Apple has to do something about performance. Remember the
3.5 announcement two years ago? Mortarola/IBM still cannot with the
needed performance without melting down a Powrbook. This is the one
good argument which the competitions has and it could kill Apple.

This is a switch to a new processor. I wasn't around when they went
to the PPC but I imagine people felt the same way. Their second major
change was to OS X. A lot of people are still not comfortable with
this one. The Mac is building up growth momentum right now and Apple
thinks this will bring further growth.

A year from now there will be MacTel machines being sold. At that
point we will have room for further discussion.
