Well, nothing ever surprises you anyway... :)

That they announced it so early is curious. If the G5 roadmap isn't 
going to serve for the future, which I take to mean that updates aren't 
going to be all that forthcoming, why buy now (or at all if my Dell 
will run OS X)? I can only see this being the first stage of a cycle 
that places less, or in fact no importance, on Mac hardware at all. If 
Apple is trying to turn the Mac into the iPod, I wonder if it will 
work?
