[DM-MUG] Firmware upgrade question

I'm running 10.3.9 on my G4, and I have a PCI card that allows for more
hard drives to be installed internally. Problem is, to fully use the
card, I need to upgrade my firmware, and to do that, I need to boot
into OS 9. I don't have OS 9, never have.

What's my route to putting a bootable OS 9 folder on my Mac? I tried
copying the System 9 Folder onto a CD from a computer at the office,
then copying that to my hard drive, but it didn't work. I was able to
get it to work between two computers at the office when I transferred
the folder through the network, but I'm not able to take my computer
into the office and connect it to the network there.

So what's your advice? I really don't want to go spend $50 on a copy
of OS 9 when all I'm going to use it for is for this 5 minute firmware
upgrade. Help?
