I just received a zip file of pictures from a relative. When I opened it I
received the following warning:
"The CRC check for P0000712.JPG has failed. It may be corrupt. Exercise
caution when using this file."
My question is: Having never received this kind of warning before, what is
it, what does it mean, why did I receive it and, finally, what should I do, if
anything? This was a zip file with a lot of pictures. The file -
P0000712.JPG - was the first picture. I did not open it, but did open the rest, which
all seemed perfectly normal.
Anybody have any comments? Thanks. Stan Murdock, W. Des Moines,
Iowa
