OS X is more forgiving for SCSI problems than OS9. Normally the first and
last devices in a SCSI chain are terminated. Most SCSI controllers have the
first terminator built into the card. I remember having SCSI problems around
my Syquest drive. Try changing the address of the Syquest drive from one to
seven or vice versa. If my memory serves me right Syquest needed to be the
first device in the chain or the last.
